God's Design on How to Get to Heaven
You may be familiar with the statement, "The Roman's Road To Heaven." This reference originates from Paul's epistle to the Christians in Rome (Ro. 1:7). It is the only reason that it's referred to as such. In no way does it suggest that the road into Rome, Italy, takes anyone into heaven. In the first chapter of his epistle. Paul asserts that the gospel is for the justification of all men through faith. He declares in Romans 1:16. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." And in 5:1, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Guided by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote the following about how anyone, "whosoever," can get to heaven;
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
