Nov - Dec 2021 / New Year Update
It seems we have been hearing a lot about faithfulness or being faithful lately. Indeed, each of us has experienced trying circumstances at some point during this past year. And undoubtedly, for some of us, perhaps our New Year began with a dire circumstance?
It is interesting to note, the first place we find the word “faithful” in Scripture is where the Lord refers to Moses being “faithful in all mine house” (Nm. 12:7). The second place is where Moses writes, “Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God” (Dt. 7:9). Rest assured, the god of this world does not have the “upper hand!” Let us commit ourselves to be faithful to God and His work no matter our situation. Because “the Lord, which made heaven and earth” (Ps. 121:2), is our solution, and in Him, “I shall be satisfied” (Ps. 17:15).
We’re grateful to the Lord for His graciously allowing us a rare Christmas family gathering. Except for our youngest child, God made way for all of our family to gather in one place for a few days before Christmas. We played table games upstairs, and some played pool in the basement. Our son grilled steaks for everyone. I read the Christmas story from the Bible and shared a devotional. And we thoroughly enjoyed a time of unwrapping gifts. Our hearts were filled with joy!
Donna and I want to thank you all for blessing us through your extra Christmas giving. God’s goodness to us-ward amazes, humbles, and challenges us! Thank you for your faithfulness. Please pray for our four children and three grandchildren as you pray for us. Our heart's desire for our children is that they each recognize and acknowledge their need for God in their lives every day. And please join us in praying for our grandchildren’s salvation.
Thank you also for the encouraging Christmas cards, heartfelt notes, and New Year’s wishes. We have been blessed and reinvigorated through each one! Happy New Year!
Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support! We acknowledge God’s directing in this and praise Him for putting us in your hearts. To Him be all glory.
